This truck is the department's very first fire engine.  When manufactured, it was intended to be used by the military in World War II.  The war ended shortly after the truck was finished, and it was purchased by the village.  The truck has a 500 gallon per minute pump, and served a 25-mile radius around the village when it was delivered.  It is now being restored by Jeff Garver, and is housed in the old jail across from the fire department.  For more history, visit the "About Us" page.
